  • FDOT held Public Workshops on the Outer Beltway and revealed the preferred route! – (see Critical Issues)
  • Lake Asbury Master Plan in Danger?   (see Critical Issues and Utilize Your Power)  We are still awaiting the return of the re-submission of the Lake Asbury Master Plan from Department of Community Affairs.

Where You Need To Be

  • Monitor the new County Website for the agendas of the BCC Meetings on September 26, October 10 and 24th. We have been told once again that the Lake Asbury Master Plan should go before the Commissioners for a final vote.  Please plan to attend the BCC Meetings when this issue is voted on. The Lake Asbury Master Plan provides additional recognition and protection for the Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area. There are still groups and individuals who would like to destroy the Conservation Area by placing roads through it in the name of economic development.
  • Please mark your calendars to attend one of the Florida Department of Transportation’s informative workshops regarding the Outer Beltway. Please take the time at these workshops to express your gratitude that the Conservation Area is not within any of the corridors being considered. If you cannot attend, please e-mail FDOT.
